Game Culturalization 101: Introduction and Fundamentals ~ $200

This seminar is applicable to those who are involved in the conception, creation and/or management of game content for global consumption. It is also appropriate for business management, legal personnel and anyone who must manage local customer expectations and feedback.
Knowledge Required
Rudimentary knowledge of the typical game development cycle and/or basic understanding of content localization are helpful, but not required.
Synopsis
As game developers rapidly move to distribute their content as widely as possible, they often overlook the challenges related to the cultural comprehension and acceptability of their content in new markets. While localization is a standard necessity for linguistic comprehension, モculturalizationヤ is required to ensure the content is adapted for a multicultural audience. Given todayメs dynamic game worlds and instantaneous global exposure, this seminar provides rudimentary steps to understand how local expectations impact the perception of game content and helps attendees begin to design content for multicultural audiences.

Synopsis
While Game Culturalization 101 introduced the broad concept and challenges of game culturalization, this 201 seminar is designed to delve deeper and more specifically into best practices and methods that game designers and content managers can employ. After introducing a framework for how culturalization operates, the seminar will cover the specific issues found within various types of content and provide key strategies for each. In addition, attendees will be challenged with exercises designed to test their application of the culturalization concepts and their ability to discern risks and opportunities.
Takeaway
Attendees will learn the essentials of a culturalization methodology for game content and will have experience with the process through hands-on exercises. This method can be immediately applied, towards the goal of creating more globally-viable content and maximizing the potential appeal and revenue in local markets.
